Job Requirements Location: Burlington, Ontario Remote Work Policy: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite; Monday and Wednesday mandatory, Tuesday preferred) Certification: Active Ontario P.Eng with stamping authority (required) Project Context The Senior Mechanical Engineer will support projects in the oil sands market, contributing to large-scale initiatives requiring expertise in pressure equipment, vessels, skids, and piping systems. The role involves direct involvement in engineering design, review, and approval processes to ensure project success. Key Responsibilities Conduct pressure vessel engineering and design reviews. Oversee pressure equipment engineering, including skid and piping system design. Review and approve engineering drawings and calculations. Stamp engineering deliverables in compliance with regulatory standards. Support active projects with minimal ramp-up time, ensuring timely execution. Candidate Requirements Ontario P.Eng with stamping authority. 10+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience. Proven expertise in pressure vessels, pressure equipment, piping, and skid design. Strong knowledge of ASME and B31.3 codes. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Alberta P.Eng certification. Experience with Caesar, Compress, or Epicor ERP software. Why Join Us? Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $110,000 – $120,000 per year or higher independent contractor rate.
