About the Opportunity Our client, a healthcare organization, is seeking a strategic and hands-on finance professional to help shape the future of its finance function. This is a unique opportunity to lead the transition from an outsourced accounting model to a fully in-house operation while building processes, systems, and reporting that support long-term organizational growth. Working closely with the COO and executive leadership team, you'll play a key role in financial planning, operational decision-making, and expansion initiatives. Your Responsibilities You'll lead the transition of accounting operations from an outsourced provider to a fully in-house finance function, ensuring a smooth implementation of processes and controls. You'll oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis while ensuring compliance with ASPE/GAAP and regulatory requirements. In this role, you'll manage the implementation of a new accounting system, including data migration, testing, training, and ongoing optimization. You'll develop KPI dashboards, executive reporting, and financial models that support strategic planning and informed business decisions. You'll strengthen internal controls, identify opportunities for process improvements, and support operational efficiencies across the organization. You'll partner with the COO on expansion initiatives, including financial modelling, market research, capital planning, and investment analysis for new clinic locations. Skills and Qualifications 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally within healthcare or another regulated environment. CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification. Demonstrated experience leading finance transformation initiatives, including accounting system implementations or bringing finance functions in-house. Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cash management, and internal controls under ASPE/GAAP. Excellent financial modelling, analytical, and business partnering skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making. Bilingual in English and French would be considered an asset. Requirements
