We are looking for a Lead Engineer to guide multi-disciplinary teams delivering custom municipal and industrial treatment systems. This is an opportunity for an experienced engineering professional who is equally comfortable with technical rigor and team leadership to take ownership of complex projects from execution through delivery. The Lead Engineer (LE) is accountable for multi-disciplinary engineering deliverables on custom municipal and industrial treatment systems. The LE determines required resources and guides a multi-disciplinary team to ensure design accuracy, timely submittals, and adherence to budget. Together with the Project Manager and Sourcing Project Leader, the LE forms a project leadership team responsible for managing projects end-to-end and maintaining critical project reporting. Location: The candidate can be located in Oakville (ON), or Richmond (Virginia US) or Bellevue (US) Work Mode: Hybrid Scope of the Role Manages a team of multi-discipline engineers executing a portfolio of projects with an engineering utilization rate of approximately 1,000 hours per month (roughly 8 full-time engineers) Involved in project execution from a commercial standpoint, from sales through project closure, including supporting bid activities with technical reviews and labor estimates Directs and monitors an engineering project team comprising Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls engineers, along with project support functions such as Document Control, Sourcing, and Finance Serves as the face of Veolia Engineering to customers and stakeholders Responsibilities: Accountable for ensuring all engineering deliverables are completed, including facilitating formal review processes (e.g., E-Table) and in-function peer/technical domain reviews of deliverables such as P&IDs, equipment drawings, datasheets, plant and piping arrangements, instrumentation and controls architecture, and design specifications Coordinate all engineering activities, internal and external, across functions using industry-standard tools including project schedules, master document lists, rolling action item lists, risk registers, change orders, and engineering project reports Ensure technical review of vendor selection and fabrication occurs, engaging the appropriate project team members Coordinate technical requirements with suppliers, ensure timely delivery of required information, and support Sourcing in vendor management and performance tracking Act as a technical liaison, resolving technical queries, setting and managing expectations, and maintaining ongoing relationships Bring in project team members or technical domain leaders as needed to maintain key relationships Own the project team's resource budget and identify competency development needs to support project success Drive team collaboration through structured project rhythms and meetings that produce clear action plans and outcomes Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering field 5 years of project experience in engineering or a related field Experience with industrial processes and system engineering, particularly in water treatment, oil & gas, chemical, or power industries Experience with EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contracts Professional Engineer's License, or ability to obtain one within 1 year English required French, Spanish, or Mandarin language skills (nice to have) Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Impeccable planning, organization, and time management Clear, concise communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate a vision and delegate work effectively Strong meeting facilitation skills, with clear objectives and action plans for expected outcomes, and the ability to resolve conflict within a project team Thoughtful, cooperative, and creative team player, with sound judgment and professionalism under multiple, shifting demands Working Conditions Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 10–20% of the time Why choose us An international community bringing together more than 110 different nationalities An environment where trust is central: 70% of our leaders started their careers at the entry level A strong training system with our internal Academy and more than 250 modules available A dynamic work environment that frequently comes together for internal events (afterworks, team buildings, etc.) Amaris Consulting promotes equal opportunities. Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in an accredited engineering field, at least five years of project experience, and experience with industrial processes and system engineering, preferably in water treatment or related industries. Candidates need EPC contract experience and a Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one within a year, along with strong planning, communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.
