Mechanical Estimator Reporting to the Mechanical Department Manager, the Mechanical Estimator is responsible for identifying and managing tender opportunities and preparing competitive bids and proposals for commercial, industrial, and high-rise residential projects throughout Ontario. This role oversees estimating and pricing for bid and specification projects, design-build projects, and project budgets. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Identify and pursue new tendering opportunities. Review proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents to determine labour, material, equipment, and time requirements. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and pricing. Complete detailed quantity take-offs. Coordinate and manage tender closings and ensure submissions are accurate and complete. Maintain accurate and up-to-date estimating and cost information within the CRM and cost database. Investigate special projects and obtain and evaluate quotations as required. Attend site visits and meetings to support estimating and project requirements. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients, co-workers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
