The position works closely with cross functional teams to ensure accounting activities are appropriately analyzed, processed, and documented in compliance with internal controls, established processes and procedures, and applicable local regulations. The role supports timely close activities, statutory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Reconcile month end fuel entries Organize, prepare and file approvals for flight schedules Maintain and reconcile payroll entries across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles Validate and authorize invoice submissions Liaise with vendors, operational teams, and headquarters to resolve discrepancies and respond to payment and tax related inquiries Manage multiple projects simultaneously while setting deadlines and adjusting priorities as needed Review and apply accounting policies, internal controls, auditing requirements, and applicable tax regulations Support audits, ad hoc projects, and ongoing initiatives with follow-through to completion All you'll need for success Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Completion of secondary school or equivalent education level Fluently read, write, and speak English Ability to work flexible hours as needed Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience Bachelor’s degree in administration or equivalent education or training Previous experience supporting airline operations in a global environment Experience within the airline industry Skills, Licenses & Certifications Demonstrated knowledge of SAP Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks Ability to deal with confidential subject matter What You'll Get Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world? Requirements
