Job Description We are currently seeking a dedicated Inspector to join our Ferrous team. The shift times are Monday-Friday, on a rotating bi-weekly shift basis of 6:30am-3pm and 12:30pm-9pm .This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of ferrous/non ferrous metals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. What you're responsible for: Inspecting incoming and outgoing materials to identify grades, quality issues, contaminants, and non-conforming or hazardous materials. Ensuring materials meet company and customer quality specifications. Coordinating the movement, sorting, and proper handling of materials within the yard. Completing daily quality and site checks, including pile quality, truck inspections, and overnight loads. Communicating quality concerns, downgrades, deductions, and required actions to Operations, Supervisors, and Commercial teams. Directing inbound trucks to the appropriate yard locations safely and efficiently. Supporting the training of Inspection Team members and external teams on quality, procedures, and safety. Qualifications To join our team: You have previous experience in a similar role within the metal recycling industry, specifically in materials inspection, is highly desirable You have knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, their properties, and common contaminants or impurities You have familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used for measurement and inspection, such as scales, callipers, magnet testers, etc. You have the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting and moving heavy objects You have proficient in using computer systems and software for data entry and record keeping You are comfortable working in a heavy industrial environment and being exposed to various weather conditions

Requirements
