Job summary
Job description: Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the incumbent will act as an HR generalist and contribute to all human resources management activities to effectively support the smooth operation of the business. This person will act as an advisor with employees and managers and play an active role in the administration of HR programs, processes, and employee relations matters/cases. The following responsibilities form the core of this role in our Canadian team. • Act as an HR business partner to employees and managers, particularly with respect to engagement, performance management, development, and labour relations; • Coordinate the onboarding and integration process for new employees; • Actively contribute to the management of the annual performance review and salary planning process; • Serve as a key point of contact for responding to information requests and advising managers on human resources policies and processes; • Manage disability files (STD & LTD), while maintaining regular communication with employees, the insurer, and the managers concerned; • Participate in the development, implementation, and improvement of human resources management policies and procedures; • Contribute to the creation, development, and improvement of human resources management tools, including special projects; • Ensure management of the employee life cycle, including the creation, updating, and confidentiality of electronic personnel files; • Produce and publish monthly HR reports. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or a related field; • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a generalist within a human resources department. Technical Skills and Knowledge • Knowledge of integrated human resources management systems, such as SuccessFactors and/or Workday, is an asset; • Knowledge of labour laws and demonstrated experience in an advisory role; • Excellent oral and written communication skills; bilingualism required; • Ability to travel as needed to support locations on Montreal’s South Shore.
