Job Description De Beers Group of Companies has an exciting full-time opportunity for a motivated and energetic Heavy Equipment Operator to join the Process Plant Team at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site based in the Northwest Territories. Reporting to the Process Plant Supervisor, this position is responsible for feeding ore into the process plant from the ore stockpiles. This is a fixed-term contract to June 2027. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to all security policies and report any issues that may harm the people, environment, information, or product. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to safe working practices and strives for zero harm. Key responsibilities: Operating the Kamatsu WA900 loaders supplying ore to the process plant primary crusher; Excavator experience sorting ore and rock breaker use an asset; Monitoring, inspect equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure systems are operating normally; Assist with crushing operations; Clean up duties, when required; Completing and maintaining plant logs and reports; and Maintaining areas and responsibilities according to standard operating procedures and preventative maintenance. This is a site-based position with two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotation. This is a fixed-term contract to June 2027. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent life skills; Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a Mine on front end loaders. Experience in similar roles feeding process plants considered an asset; Strong communication skills; and Proven commitment to Safety, Health and Environmental standards. The operator is responsible for feeding ore into the process plant using loaders and assisting with crushing operations. They must also monitor equipment systems, maintain plant logs, and ensure all tasks are performed according to safety and standard operating procedures.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of five years of experience operating front-end loaders in a mining environment. Strong communication skills and a proven commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards are required.
