Job summary
Our client, a growing processing facility located on the north west side of Winnipeg, has partnered with Stacey Danley at Aplin on the search for an Administrative Assistant in the logistics department. The successful candidate will review and enter data as products are processed and shipped. Benefits and Perks: Starting hourly rate: $20.00 per hour. 100% Employer Paid Benefits. Responsibilities Tracking inventory through lot numbers, invoices, product warehouse locations, and work orders. Generating shipping documents including Bills of Lading, Import Declarations, and Customs Invoices. Gathering relevant documents for all shipments and forwarding information to relevant parties. Reviewing data for accuracy and reconciling before entering into a software system. Maintaining the filing system. Entering orders including generating pick sheets for warehouse employees. Coordinating pick-ups with trucking companies and organizing tracking numbers. Preparing paperwork for warehouse staff to ensure proper documentation of work. Answering and directing calls as needed. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail and accuracy. An ability to input numbers and perform basic mathematical calculations. Proficiency with MS Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. An ability to multi-task and work to deadlines. A minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. A certificate or diploma in Administration or Business is an asset. Previous experience with ERP systems, logistics or inventory is an asset but not required. Please note this is a permanent full-time position. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reliable transportation is required as there is no public transportation nearby.
