Job summary
We are seeking a Component Specialist to act as the key link between Engineering and Supply Chain. This role will support component availability, alternate part approvals, engineering changes, and obsolescence planning across complex technical projects. Responsibilities Coordinate engineering responses to supply chain requests. Review and support approval of alternate components. Align Engineering and Supply Chain during planning and design. Work with suppliers, Quality, Configuration Management, and Engineering on changes and deviations. Monitor component obsolescence and support remediation planning. Qualifications Engineering or Engineering Technology degree/diploma. 3+ years of engineering, supply chain, or related technical experience. Familiarity with electronic components, drawings, PCB layouts, and BOMs. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Experience with Jira is an asset. Must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods, ITAR, and NATO Reliability/Secret clearance. Willingness to travel within Canada, the U.S., and internationally.
