Job summary
We're partnering with a rapidly growing, privately owned industrial services organization operating across North America. As the business continues to expand, they're looking for an entrepreneurial finance leader to help build a modern FP&A function while driving key transformation initiatives across the business. This is an opportunity to create—not inherit. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll help shape how finance supports the organization by improving reporting, strengthening decision-making, implementing new systems, and developing scalable processes that support continued growth. If you're energized by solving complex business challenges and enjoy building practical solutions that make a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Be Doing Building and establishing the company's FP&A function. Designing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. Developing dashboards, financial models, and business insights that support decision-making. Leading finance transformation initiatives, including a major ERP implementation. Improving processes and creating scalable ways of working. Partnering with operational leaders to improve business performance. Supporting strategic planning, profitability analysis, and growth initiatives. Who Will Thrive in This Role? Enjoy building new capabilities rather than simply maintaining existing ones. Think strategically but aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves. Naturally look for opportunities to improve processes and drive efficiencies. Build strong relationships through collaboration and trust. Thrive in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment where priorities evolve. What We're Looking For CPA, CFA, MBA, or similar professional designation. Progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or business transformation. Experience developing planning, budgeting, reporting, or analytical processes. Hands-on ERP implementation experience. Strong financial modelling and Power BI (or similar analytics) skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business insights. Experience supporting project-based, industrial, or multi-entity organizations is considered an asset. Why This Opportunity? This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of a growing organization. You'll join a collaborative leadership team that values initiative, innovation, and practical problem-solving. Rather than stepping into a mature FP&A function, you'll have the opportunity to build capabilities, influence key decisions, and make a visible impact across the business from day one. At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America. We believe diverse teams build stronger companies, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We use AI tools to assist in a fair and efficient matching process, helping our recruiters connect the right people with the right opportunities.
