Our client, a recognized leader in their industry, has partnered with Aplin to add a talented Store Manager to their team in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. Overview We are seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a high-performing retail location. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, including team leadership, operational excellence, customer experience, and community engagement. The successful candidate will lead a team of more than 50 employees across retail, lumber yard, and delivery functions, while fostering a positive, accountable, and customer-focused workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily store operations across retail, lumber yard, and delivery teams to ensure efficient and effective performance Provide leadership and direction to a team of 50+ employees, fostering a supportive and accountable work environment Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service that aligns with the company’s purpose, vision, and values Partner with senior leadership to support business growth, workforce planning, and community engagement initiatives Oversee operational processes including inventory management, merchandising standards, and workplace safety Monitor store performance and analyze key business metrics to support data-driven decision-making Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction Promote a culture of collaboration, reliability, and professionalism across all store functions Qualifications Proven experience in a Store Manager or senior retail leadership role Experience in hardware, home improvement, or building supply retail environments is considered a strong asset Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate large teams in a fast-paced retail setting Strong operational management skills, including experience with inventory, merchandising, and store performance metrics Ability to analyze business data and use insights to drive operational and financial performance Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills A collaborative leadership style with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with customers Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Perks and Benefits A competitive base salary with additional RRSP match An additional performance bonus based on store and operational performance A generous vehicle and phone allowance Generous benefits coverage At Aplin — together with our brands CompuStaff, Impact Recruitment, and Vantix Systems — we connect great people with great organizations across North America.
