Quality Assurance Specialist

OVERVIEW: We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and contribute to developing a high-quality product. Collaborating with the Customer Success and Development teams, you will share the responsibility for ensuring our product meets a high standard for quality and reliability. The successful candidate's mandate will include developing and executing test plans, as well as automating the testing of our product. As a key member of the development team, you will work closely with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and execute on our vision and values. While based in Appara’s Vancouver office, you will report to the Chief Technology Officer. This role is in person in our downtown Vancouver office. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Perform functional, acceptance, and regression testing Create comprehensive, well-structured test plans Work with the development team to design, develop and execute testing automation Identify, record, track, and document bugs Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing features Write meaningful documentation supporting all testing initiatives WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Education: A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Experience: At least two years of experience testing web applications Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, services, and processes Passion for writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans Nice to Have: Knowledge of the administration of corporations and trusts, wills and estates, or real estate transactions. The specialist will develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automate product testing to ensure high quality and reliability. They will collaborate with development, design, and product teams to identify, track, and document bugs.

Candidates need a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with at least two years of experience testing web applications. Proficiency in QA methodologies and a passion for clear documentation are required.
