Job Description As a Food Service Team Lead on the Dal Food Services team, you?ll provide in-operation guidance to the frontline food services team in preparing food and serving our students, faculty and staff. With guidance from your manager, you?ll learn on the job and make great connections with the people we serve. Job Responsibilities Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers Oversees the operation and staff in absence of the Supervisor/Manager Train and develop personnel as required May support inventory and ordering May perform coutlet opening or closing Conducts and records monthly location audits, (boards, First Aid Kits) May assist with weekly inventory as required May complete reports for occupational/non-occupational illness or injury Ensures cleanliness of Operation Ensures adherence to Franchise standards, (if applicable) Ensures proper use, storage and handling of chemicals on-site Assists with any onsite promotions and advertising Monitors cash handling procedures Balances cash float and verifies deposit and safe Handles customer service complaints with assistance from Manager/Supervisor Complete/document food safety logs Covering and ensuring breaks and lunches are given Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers Perform other job duties as assigned Qualifications 1-2 years? experience working in hospitality industry required Minimum 1 years? experience in a leadership role, either as an individual contributor or people manager required Experience with POS systems and cash control procedures Skilled in prioritization of tasks and time management Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene. Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a union position with SEIU Local 2.
