Job Description Join the hospitality group at St. Thomas University in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Aramark is hiring a full-time Residence Dining Manager to operate and manage the Student Dining Hall. The Residence Dining Manager is responsible for providing operational assistance by overseeing all activities and supervising and directing all front- line employees in the unit. This position is responsible for the day-to -day front-of-house food service operations and provision of daily food service to the student residents. Culinary experiences and well-maintained environments are fundamental to student success. From brain-powering ingredients to comforting flavor combinations, nutritious food doesn't have to be boring. Aramark chefs and dietitians are constantly reviewing the latest insights and food trends to find the next culinary innovation and help students discover their love of food.We partner with you to enhance the student experience, support parents, and collaborate with administration,, all while delivering on the expectations of parents and the community. Education - Aramark Job Responsibilities Supervise, motivate, guide, direct staff in the daily food service to clients Assist in the recruitment, orientation and retention of new and existing staff Motivate and encourage staff to ensure Customer Service Standards are maintained Work with a team of supervisors for day-to-day management of union and non-union staff Manage HR related issues, progressive disciplinary infractions, respond to safety concerns Responsible to oversee cash handling - balance cash floats, petty cash receipts, deposits Assist with performing weekly inventory Assist with developing and maintaining staff job routines and schedules and covering call-ins Oversee the set up and take down of catered event furnishings and materials Ensure daily temperature logs are kept on fridges and freezers Ensure adherence to all OH&S policies, procedures and required activities Qualifications 2-5 years management experience in a fast-paced food service environment Inventory control and cash handling experience required Experience with scheduling, recall procedures, and recruiting in a food service environment Experience in a unionized environment is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff and customers Strong acumen for operational budgets, working with allocations, controlling costs and variances Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Knowledgeable of employment standards and health and safety legislations Confident, organized, and able to multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment Ability to keep reliable attendance and work some flexible hours to meet with client requirements What We Offer You Time to Recharge: Three weeks of paid vacation for all new salaried hires, plus 3 personal/flex days dedicated to your mental health and well-being. Requirements

Requires 2–5 years of management experience in a fast-paced food service environment, along with inventory control and cash handling experience. Candidates should have experience with scheduling and recruitment, strong communication and operational budgeting skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant employment and safety legislation, and the ability to work flexible hours; unionized-environment experience is preferred.
