Job summary

Job Description Aramark is currently seeking an Assistant Camp Manager for the James Bay region. As an Assistant Camp Manager, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing the day-to-day camp operations. You will play a key role in coordinating services, including: guest services reporting commissary food services facility maintenance You will be responsible for effectively managing people and resources while ensuring smooth and efficient operations in a dynamic remote environment. What we offer: Rotation schedule: 2 weeks on-site followed by 2 weeks off Daily shifts of 10 to 12 hours while at camp Travel fully covered, with marshalling points or pickup available from: Rouyn-Noranda, Saguenay/Bagotville, Quebec city. Free accommodation and meals provided during your stay at camp What we’re looking for: Ability and willingness to work in a remote location Flexibility for travel and extended rotations Strong leadership, organizational skills, and team spirit Job Responsibilities Oversee daily operations at the site Manage employees effectively through effective coaching and development Ensure that guests/customers at the site receive superior customer service Establish budgets and forecasts and perform other financial tasks related to operations Place orders for all necessary supplies Monitor and train employees and establish schedules to ensure the best possible customer service Submit daily, weekly, and bi-monthly reports to the client and Aramark. Ensure daily communication through daily site meetings. Responsible for implementing a safety-first culture on site. Perform all required facility checks related to the kitchen, food, commissary, and maintenance. Support HR in processing payroll for front-line employees and help them address concerns. Support the camp director through effective inventory control and by communicating any forecasting issues. Qualifications • At least three years of management experience, preferably in a remote camp or the hospitality/tourism sector• At least three years of administrative experience (WHMIS or food safety certification is an asset)• Proven leadership skills• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Orissa, and QuickBooks• Impeccable driving record• Ability to work in a unionized environment• Exceptional communication skills• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyAbout Aramark At Aramark, we empower our people to create moments that matter through exceptional hospitality experiences.
