Role Description Arcanus is expanding its defence and government pipeline across allied markets. We're hiring a Business Development Lead to own and grow relationships with government, military, and prime-contractor customers, and to drive opportunities through procurement frameworks from first contact to close. This is a senior, relationship-driven role for someone who knows how defence procurement actually works and can translate it into signed business. What you'll do Own and grow the defence and government sales pipeline across allied markets Navigate government procurement frameworks and prime-contractor relationships Build and deepen relationships with defence customers, partners, and agencies Lead proposals, RFIs/RFPs, and contract negotiations Represent Arcanus at industry, government, and partner forums Work closely with leadership to align pipeline with strategy and capacity Qualifications 7+ years in defence or government business development or capture management Experience with Canadian and/or NATO procurement and government sales cycles Established relationships across defence primes, agencies, or allied governments Strong grasp of export-control and procurement compliance Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills Eligibility for Canadian security clearance required; military or government background an asset
