Description Job Title: Class 1 (Highway Driver) Department: Operations Division: Line Haul (Highway) Job Summary Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Class 1 Highway Driver based out of Truro, NS. This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent highway work and a predictable schedule. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, transporting freight within Truro and designated terminal location before returning to Truro. What You'll Do Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner. Complete scheduled linehaul runs between Truro and designated terminal locations. Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation. Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers. What You’ll Need Valid Class 1 driver's license. Minimum 2 years previous tractor-trailer experience. Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check. Strong knowledge of local and regional routes. Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic.
