Project Specialist Location: 1410 55th Avenue, Lachine, QC H8T 3J8 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 hours/week Travel: Some travel required during the training period About the Role We are seeking a Project Specialist to provide technical and project support to the Canadian Field Sales team across Eastern Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical assemblies, power distribution, and electrical protection technology, along with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications in both French and English. Key Responsibilities Support Field Sales with project negotiations and technical solutions for CORE and Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) product lines. Review and interpret customer drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and technical documentation. Configure PDCA, CRDS (LVB and NSB), and EPC assemblies using Bid Manager/Bidman. Prepare technical comments, clarifications, proposals, and project configurations. Support Bid for Bid / Bid for Buy activities and collaborate with internal teams on project pricing. Provide technical and value-added engineering support during customer and project negotiations. Support projects involving CSA, NEMA, and ANSI requirements. Identify and assess technical and commercial risks associated with major projects. Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Pricing, and other internal teams to ensure successful project execution. Qualifications Fluent French, both written and spoken, is mandatory, with strong English communication skills. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical, Business, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience with electrical assemblies, electrical distribution, and/or electrical protection technology. Strong ability to read and interpret medium- and low-voltage electrical drawings, single-line/three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Strong understanding of electrical products and power distribution systems. Experience in a Sales Engineer, Inside Sales Engineer, Project Engineer, or similar technical role is highly preferred. Experience with Bid Manager/Bidman and power distribution product configuration is an asset. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Experience 6+ years of engineering, technical sales, or related experience. 2+ years of experience interpreting electrical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of CSA/NEMA/ANSI standards and electrical distribution/protection systems. Experience supporting large or complex electrical projects.
