Job summary

Quality Engineer Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: $65,000–$75,000/year Location: Scarborough, ON Key Responsibilities Act as the main quality contact for assigned customers and suppliers, resolving quality concerns and providing updates. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for internal and customer quality issues. Supervise and support Quality Inspectors with daily production and inspection activities. Support new product launches, including APQP, PPAP, GP-12/Safe Launch, FMEA, Control Plans, work instructions, and inspection plans. Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement quality and process improvements. Support IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 compliance and help maintain quality procedures and documentation. Review GP-12/Safe Launch inspection data, track corrective actions, and present findings during quality meetings. Assist with gage selection, measurement strategies, metrology activities, and training inspectors/operators on new parts. Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Requirements 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SPC, root cause analysis, and problem-solving techniques. Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and GP-12/Safe Launch. Tier 1 / Tier 2 automotive experience required. Good understanding of GD&T, CMM, and metrology. Familiarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards. Injection molding experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and people skills. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and related software. WHMIS knowledge.
