Construction, specializes in EIFS/Synthetic Stucco applications and restoration. The EIFS Apprentice supports the installation of Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems (EIFS) under the guidance of experienced crew members. This role assists with surface preparation, insulation installation, basic coating application, and exterior finishing tasks, while developing hands-on skills in the trade. The apprentice contributes to efficient project delivery while learning to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and company values. Work may include projects within local regions as well as out-of-town assignments. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: EIFS System Application Perform substrate surface preparation and masking Install air & moisture barriers Verify measurements, cut and install insulation boards Material Finishing & Detailing Rasp/shave Styrofoam to ensure straight, level walls, corners, and edges Finish corners, angles, decorative reveals, and specialty features Apply EIFS basecoat, mesh, and finish coat using appropriate troweling techniques Paint walls, trims, and decorative finishes as required Tools, Equipment, and Site Operations Load and unload materials and tools Assist with erecting and dismantling scaffolding Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas Health & Safety Comply with company safety policies and procedures Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Perform work safely at heights up to 70 feet Working Conditions The role involves physically demanding work including, but not limited to: Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Occasional extended hours based on project needs Frequent kneeling, crouching, and standing Lifting loads up to 70 lbs Performing repetitive tasks and movements Working confidently at elevated heights Hearing and responding to instructions in dynamic work environments Travel and overnight stays for out-of-town assignments when required Requirements The EIFS Technician must demonstrate: 1-3 years of EIFS/Synthetic Stucco experience (required) Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation(required) Very comfortable working at various heights in scaffolding or manlift up to 70’ WHMIS, MEWP, Fall Pro certification (asset) Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team
