Job Description: Arterra Wines Canada is Canada’s leading producer and marketer of award-winning, globally recognized Canadian and imported wines. At Domaine Le Clos Jordanne, we are dedicated to expressing the unique terroir of the Niagara Escarpment through exceptional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Winery Associates play an important role in delivering an elevated and educational tasting experience. Our team shares the story of our vineyards, winemaking philosophy, and the Benchlands with guests, creating memorable experiences rooted in hospitality, discovery, and a genuine passion for wine. The ideal candidate will have hospitality experience and a strong interest in wine, with previous wine knowledge considered an asset. We are seeking individuals who are personable, professional, and enthusiastic, with a natural ability to engage guests and confidently speak about wine. A curiosity to learn and a desire to continually grow wine knowledge is essential. Successful candidates must be reliable team players who take pride in providing exceptional guest experiences. Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, is required. French language skills are considered an asset. Multiple positions available. Team members enjoy: Competitive wages (include language premiums) Gratuities Creative incentive programs Full training and exciting long-term career opportunities Flexible hours Duties/Responsibilities/Procedures: Assisting customers with wine tasting and purchases Conducting entertaining and informative tours of the winery, including performing structured tastings for tour groups Providing exceptional and professional customer service Use a computer-operated point-of-sale system and perform opening and closing duties Assisting with special events Providing dinner service in both formal and informal settings Representing the winery at offsite events Stocking wine and giftware Performing general housekeeping duties Job Requirements: Smart Serve Certification 18 years of age or older Ability work well within a team-focused environment Motivation to exceed sales targets Critical thinking and decision-making skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Responsible and trustworthy Ambitious and goal-oriented Retail experience is a must-have Ability to lift 40 lbs Ability to stand for long periods of time Previous serving experience would be an asset Fluency in French would be considered an asset Wine knowledge an asset but not necessary as training is provided Must be available to work on evenings and weekends Compensation: $18/hr+ gratuities/incentives We are committed to establishing a qualified workforce that reflects the diverse population it serves and we encourage applications from all qualified individuals.
