Job details

Sage Intacct Implementation Consultant Implementation Delivery Seat | Location: Remote or Onsite | Type: Full-Time, Permanent About Asyma Asyma Solutions Ltd. is Western Canada's leading Sage partner and a boutique professional services organization focused on financial-management software, implementation, training, support, and long-term customer success. We are a high-functioning team of professionals and are inviting people who see their career as a craft - people who take ownership, care about the quality of their work, share what they know, and understand that strong teams win together. At Asyma, your contribution is visible and strong professionals have the opportunity to grow with the company. Who You Are You are a hands-on Sage Intacct implementor who enjoys turning approved business requirements into a solution that works in practice. You understand accounting and business process well enough to see the consequences of configuration decisions, and you are comfortable working directly with customers through testing, training, and issue resolution. You do not need to know everything. You do need the judgment to know when to proceed, when to clarify, and when to escalate. You document what you do, test before calling work complete, and make your work easy for another Asyma professional to understand and continue. The Role The Sage Intacct Implementation Consultant is responsible for translating approved design and requirements into accurate configuration, testing, documentation, training, and customer-ready implementation work. The seat works within Asyma's governance model and collaborates closely with the Project Manager / Hybrid PM, Lead Implementor, and Practice Lead. Core Accountabilities 1. Sage Intacct Configuration & Delivery Configure Sage Intacct from approved design, work packages, and documented requirements. Work across applicable core areas including General Ledger, AP, AR, Cash Management, dimensions, entities, purchasing, project accounting, budgeting, allocations, fixed assets, workflows, dashboards, and reporting. Support data migration, reconciliation, validation, and cutover activities as assigned. Maintain clear configuration notes and decision history so project knowledge remains transferable. 2. Testing, UAT & Definition of Done Test configuration before customer release using realistic business scenarios, expected results, and appropriate exception cases. Support User Acceptance Testing and distinguish defects, training issues, design gaps, and new requirements. Retest corrections and retain sufficient evidence that the agreed outcome works before work is considered complete. Escalate when approved design, acceptance criteria, or expected results are unclear rather than making unsupported assumptions. 3. Customer Training & Communication Explain system and accounting concepts in clear business language. Deliver user training that helps customers perform the process themselves, not simply watch a demonstration. Communicate progress, blockers, risks, and next steps clearly to the project lead and customer where appropriate. Protect customer confidence by being prepared, accurate, responsive, and honest about uncertainty. 4. Troubleshooting & Escalation Reproduce issues, use Sage/product resources and reasonable research, test likely solutions, and document what was learned. Escalate with context, evidence, options, and a recommended next step rather than handing off an undefined problem. Recognize when an issue represents a design, scope, accounting, integration, or governance decision beyond the authority of the seat. How You Fit in the Delivery Model Practice Lead Practice governance, design validation, quality, escalation, and capability development. Provides senior review and support for material technical/design issues. Hybrid PM / Project Lead Owns customer outcome, project control, scope, design ownership, risk, and delivery coordination. Provides approved design, priorities, work packages, and project direction. Implementation Consultant Configuration, testing, documentation, training, troubleshooting, and defined implementation work. Executes the work, keeps progress visible, and escalates gaps early. Requirements Sage Intacct certification preferred; demonstrated hands-on Sage Intacct implementation experience required. 2+ years of ERP, financial-management software, accounting systems, or Sage Intacct implementation experience preferred. Strong accounting and financial-process understanding, including the ability to understand the reporting and control implications of configuration. Experience with configuration, testing, UAT, training, troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-facing implementation work. Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to work effectively in a remote professional-services environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently within defined scope while escalating uncertainty, design gaps, and risk early. The Competencies That Matter Implementation Discipline Understands the requirement, configures accurately, tests realistic use cases, documents the work, and communicates completion clearly. Accounting & Business Understanding Connects Intacct configuration to the customer process, controls, accounting outcome, and reporting need. Troubleshooting Researches, reproduces, tests, and escalates with evidence rather than guessing or stalling. Communication Explains clearly, follows through, and keeps customers and teammates informed of progress, risk, and next action. Team & Knowledge Sharing Leaves work understandable and transferable and contributes to the capability of the wider team. Professional Judgment Knows when to own the decision, when to clarify, and when to ask for senior review. Success in this seat means delivering reliable implementation work that customers can use, project leads can trust, and the rest of the Asyma team can understand and build upon.
