Competition Number: 2026-061 Position: Social Services Administrative Assistant Department: Social Services Employment Status: Full-Time Salary: $22.00- $30.25/HR – 35 Hours per Week Location: Naughton, ON Closing Date: September 23, 2026 at 4:00pm POSITION SCOPE: The Social Services Administrative Assistant performs and/or oversees a variety of associated administrative and clerical tasks required to manage and distribute information within an office setting. The Administrative Assistant ensures the efficient day-to-day operation of the Social Services Department and provides support to the work of the departmental management and staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Office Administration OR Equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years Administration/Clerical work experience OR A Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an office environment. Excellent computer skills with experience in the use of MS Office software and database software Valid Class “G” driver’s license related field; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions and reports, and prepare and coordinate the preparation ad submission of summary briefs and reports to the Director of Social Services Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employee or appropriate person Answer telephone and electronic inquires and relay telephone calls and messages Provide administration support to the Director of Social Services Draft and edit correspondences on behalf of the Director of Social Services and/or managers of the Social Services Department Responsible for preparation, receiving and delivery of correspondences to and from the Social Services Department Ensure all financial request relating to the Social Services Department are processed and filed properly We offer attractive benefits, opportunities for advancement and an engaging work environment.
