Job summary
Overview The Quality Assurance Manager, reports to the Director of Quality, International Life Extension Projects and is assigned the responsibility, authority, and organizational freedom, to initiate, implement and control the Quality Assurance activities in his/her area of responsibility. Your role Development of the Project QA program (QA Plan and supporting procedures) and assisting with the implementation of the QA program through providing training on applicable program requirements. Assisting Project Director and Project team in ensuring satisfactory performance with regard s to the Project Quality Objectives. Establishing and managing the Project QA organization, including resources planning, staffing, and performance monitoring. Planning the execution of QA deliverables and providing QA input to deliverables produced by other Project functions (design and procurement). Interfacing with the Client and Client QA Manager, Suppliers, Subcontractors, Regulators and Jurisdictional Authorities, and other external Project participants on QA matters. Planning and coordinating and/or conducting the QA assessment and monitoring activities within the Project and reporting on their outcome. Identification, recording and reporting quality problems and issues related to the effective implementation of the Project Quality Assurance Plan. Participating in Project initiation, planning, execution, and close-out activities. Verification and confirmation of Project QA program implementation and effectiveness. About You University degree. Minimum of 10 - 15 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field. Experience in major multi-discipline tasks and interacting with other disciplines and external parties (e.g. Customers, suppliers, regulatory and jurisdictional authorities). Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment and techniques. Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, CSA N 299, CSA N286-12, and ASME codes. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated leadership and the ability to make a substantial contribution to the execution of department and project initiatives. Technical knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level. Good computer skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Must possess sound judgment and diplomacy in managing project tasks. Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
