MATERIALS / SHIPPING SUPERVISOR Location: Thorndale, ON Schedule: Monday – Friday - 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM EST Salary: $74,000 – $85,000 ---------------------------------------- WHO WE ARE Algonquin Bridge Limited is a leader in the design, fabrication, and rental of modular steel bridge systems, supporting critical infrastructure projects across North America. We are seeking a hands-on Materials / Shipping Supervisor to lead yard operations and ensure the safe, efficient flow of materials and rental bridge inventory. ---------------------------------------- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Oversee day-to-day yard operations, including storage, staging, organization, and material flow * Supervise and coordinate yard employees across shipping, receiving, picking, and packing activities * Maintain inventory accuracy through ERP transactions, cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution * Coordinate shipping, receiving, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate material flow * Manage the day-to-day operation of the bridge rental program, including shipping, returns, inspections, and inventory readiness * Ensure returned materials are inspected, restocked, or flagged for repair * Maintain yard organization, equipment readiness, and material handling standards * Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives ---------------------------------------- QUALIFICATIONS Required: * 3–5 years of experience in shipping, receiving, materials management, logistics, or yard operations * Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a hands-on environment * Strong knowledge of inventory control and material flow processes * Experience with ERP or inventory systems * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities * Ability to work in a fast-paced, yard-based environment Assets: * Experience in a unionized environment * Forklift or material-handling experience ---------------------------------------- WHY JOIN US * Competitive salary and comprehensive health & dental benefits * Company pension plan (after 1 year) * Career growth and educational reimbursement opportunities * Employee recognition and rewards programs * Team-oriented workplace with a strong focus on safety and operational excellence * Ongoing learning and development opportunities * Work-life balance * Employee referral bonuses * Safety shoe allowance Algonquin Bridge Limited. is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible work environment.
