The Opportunity We are looking for an Estimator for our Brampton location. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this position is responsible for preparing and selecting acceptable quotations for projects within the Corrugated operations. What you'll do * Prepare estimates of costs and pricing for projects via interface with design and production * Responsible for gathering information and documentation relevant to the look, materials and construction of a project * Communicate project component requirements to appropriate vendors, including verbal discussion and a hard copy of documentation transmissions * Present project/item pricing to management for sign-off, and to Sales and/or the customer * Ensure the integrity of records supporting estimates of costs and pricing levels for individual projects * Compile an analyze vendor quotations, clarifying any outstanding issues * Select acceptable quotations among bids for individual component business, post elements to estimation worksheet for cost accumulation * Project pricing determination, review findings and quotation proposal with supervisor * Other duties as assigned What you'll bring * Post-secondary Diploma/Degree in a related discipline or equivalent training and experience in Estimating * Strong mathematical and accounting skills, and capable of understanding production/machine capability and tolerances * Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills including strong verbal and written communication * Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize in a fast paced environment * Advanced level Excel skills preferred What We Offer * Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (dependents included) * Teamwork-focused culture with sustainability initiatives and social events * A culture of appreciation through a point-based recognition * Opportunities for advancement and internal movement * Education assistance for continuous skill development * Academic scholarships for employees’ children * Safety equipment and PPE support program * Knowledge of advanced material considerations is an asset.
