Job summary

GENERAL: Reports to the Plant Manager Hours of Work: 7:00 - 3:30 Benefits: Yes Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $35.00/hour. Overtime is paid after 8 hours daily. Required Experience: Minimum 5 years progressive experience in the automotive sector. CORE COMPETENCIES: Effective communication Work efficiently with all personnel in all areas of a manufacturing facility Ability to work independently PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Organized, able to maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area Assembly of robotic welding systems, machines, machine sub-assemblies, weld tooling and components including pneumatic lines. Work in a team environment with electricians and other trades, solving any ongoing issues during machine or tool builds Precision adjusting and altering, as required, machine components for robotic MIG or Laser welding tooling systems Able to work on your own for specific complex tool set-up or build Using mills, lathes, surface grinders etc. as required to make or modify machine components to fine tolerances Good understanding of GD&T Robotic weld system tooling set-up/part set-up using attribute gages Precision tooling adjustments to fit components to attribute gages Precision measurement using Hexagon/Romer Arm is an asset Good understanding of pneumatic systems Communication with Plant Manager or mechanical design group as required Organized and able to maintain accurate records for ongoing tooling modifications Able to travel within Canada, USA and Mexico Familiar with SOLID WORKS E-drawing viewer software is an asset (the shop does not use blue prints)
