Atholville Mill is currently recruiting for the following position: Red Seal Industrial Electrician 1st Class Role Overview The successful applicant will join our Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) team and play a key role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and performance of electrical systems throughout our pulp mill. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment and control systems that support continuous mill operations. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure equipment reliability while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects within a modern industrial environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical equipment and power distribution systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, motor controls, lighting, and electrical distribution equipment. Install and terminate electrical cable, conduit, cable tray, and associated equipment for maintenance and capital projects. Inspect and maintain motors and electrical equipment, including reliability activities Troubleshoot and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, and associated control equipment. Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications. Identify and correct deficiencies in accordance with applicable electrical codes and company standards. Participate in equipment installations, shutdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Graduate of grade twelve high school course along with maintaining a 1st class Industrial Electrician License. Experience considered an asset. Preference will be given to those with multiple trades. Must be willing to work overtime, shift work and take calls. Why AV Group NB Inc.?
