This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values professional growth, patient satisfaction, and innovative eye care practices. *Responsibilities* * Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function. * Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, ocular diseases, and pediatric vision issues. * Educate patients on eye health, treatment options, and proper use of corrective lenses or medications. * Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. * Collaborate with optical staff to recommend appropriate eyewear solutions and assist in sales efforts to meet patient needs. *Requirements* * Valid license to practice as an Optometrist in Ontario. * Familiarity with optical experience including fitting lenses and understanding customer service principles. * Knowledge of pediatrics as it relates to vision development and treatment plans for children. * Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management. * Experience working with EMR systems and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes. * Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
