The Opportunity: We’re looking to fill an opening for a Senior Delivery Manager to join the Enterprise Project Management Office for 12 months. Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Project Management Office, the Senior Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across business and technology teams. This role ensures initiatives are effectively planned, governed, and delivered by actively managing scope, dependencies, risks, decisions, and execution readiness throughout the delivery lifecycle. The Senior Delivery Manager will serve as the central point of coordination across Agile Squads, partnering closely with the squad leadership triad consisting of the Product Owner, Product Designer, and Technology Lead. The role is accountable for driving alignment across squads and stakeholders, ensuring roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and delivery plans are coordinated, and business outcomes are achieved. You hold yourself accountable and continuously look for ways to improve What your day looks like: Delivery Management & Execution Manage delivery coordination across Agile Squads, proactively managing dependencies, risks, milestones, and execution readiness. Partner closely with Product Owners, Product Designers, and Technology Leads to align priorities, resolve impediments, and drive successful delivery. Develop and maintain integrated delivery plans, including scope, timelines, dependencies, assumptions, risks, and resource requirements. Monitor initiative health and proactively identify issues that may impact delivery commitments. Conduct post-implementation reviews and capture lessons learned to continuously improve delivery effectiveness. Governance & Planning Strengthen upfront discovery and planning activities to ensure requirements, dependencies, assumptions, and delivery approaches are understood before commitments are made. Enhance governance processes so that scope, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, risks, and changes are documented, understood, and actively managed throughout delivery. Facilitate governance forums and support effective decision-making to enable successful delivery outcomes. Provide clear and concise executive-level reporting on delivery progress, risks, decisions, and key milestones. Stakeholder Management & Alignment Collaborate with business, technology, and executive stakeholders to define objectives, priorities, and success criteria. Facilitate alignment across multiple Agile Squads to ensure roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and delivery plans remain coordinated and aligned to enterprise objectives. Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a trusted partner throughout the delivery lifecycle. Ensure stakeholders remain informed through transparent communication and proactive escalation of risks and issues. Change, Risk & Accountability Establish rigorous change management practices to ensure scope, timeline, or dependency changes are identified early, assessed appropriately, and communicated transparently. Identify, assess, manage, and report on delivery risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies. Drive mitigation plans and facilitate timely decision-making to minimize delivery impacts. Increase accountability throughout execution, ensuring delivery commitments are achieved unless a material and governed change is approved. Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, predictability, and delivery excellence. Your experience and skills: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Technology, or a related field is preferred Project, Program, Agile, or Delivery Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe or equivalent) is preferred 10+ years of experience leading complex business and technology initiatives, with at least 5 years in delivery, program, or project leadership roles within Wealth Management, Banking, or Financial Services Proven experience delivering large-scale business and technology initiatives across complex, matrix organizations Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery environments Demonstrated success coordinating delivery across multiple Agile Squads and managing cross-functional dependencies Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and change while maintaining delivery commitments Experience developing and delivering executive-level reporting and presentations Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic objectives, delivery priorities, and organizational constraints Functional knowledge of project financial management, budget planning, cost control, and project tracking practices Comfortable leading teams and stakeholders through ambiguity and changing priorities Fluent communication skills in English are required; bilingual French is an asset Why Aviso?
