As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, a typical day might include: Recruitment Assisting with the full lifecycle recruitment process for internal and external positions, including: Posting job listings for open roles (internally and externally) Participating in active and passive sourcing, building a strong candidate pipeline by utilizing a range of talent-sourcing channels to (job fairs, recruiting/networking events, and various job boards/platforms) Scheduling and otherwise facilitating recruitment meetings/discussions with hiring managers and interviews with candidates Performing candidate screening process to assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, hard/soft skills, experience, and aptitudes Facilitating candidate assessments Maintaining communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, notifying them of any status updates Extending offers of employment and negotiating employment terms Creates and maintains recruitment tracking spreadsheets Human Resources Management Assisting the Human Resources team as needed, including but not limited to: Employee on-boarding & off-boarding processes Maintaining employee Leave balances in the corporate HRIS Disseminating and tracking employee acknowledgements of internal policy and procedure changes as they arise Facilitating various routine internal communications between staff and HR You are passionate about: Providing friendly, professional service Making a positive difference to those around you Sharing ideas and working with a great team of proactive, innovative thinkers Learning, growing, and pushing past barriers Living with integrity Taking ownership of your work and actions You’re outstanding at: Building relationships – with clients, with underwriters, with colleagues … YOU are a people person! What you’ll do
Manage the full lifecycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and onboarding candidates for internal and external roles. Provide general human resources support such as maintaining HRIS leave balances and disseminating internal policy updates.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of 2 years of recruitment experience in a fast-paced corporate environment. A post-secondary degree or certification in Human Resources or Business Administration is considered an asset.
