About the Company Axolotl Studio is a Toronto-based experiential event agency serving weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. We design and operate live branded experiences that guests remember. Every event runs to a professional standard, from setup to the last print. About the Role This is an operational casual, on-call role. You will run photo experiences on-site at events across the GTA. Depending on the event, that means operating a photo booth setup, capturing roaming candid photography or running a portrait station. Your job is to show up, work the room, operate the equipment and deliver a great guest experience. This is not a creative or editorial photography role. No post-event editing is expected. You are using your photography skills on the floor in a live event environment, not behind a screen after the fact. This role suits someone who has a photography background, loves working events and is comfortable being the most energetic and professional person in the room. Responsibilities o Set up and pack down the photo booth station, including props, backdrops, and table o Operate the photo booth during events and guide guests through the experience with energy and professionalism o Assist with basic camera adjustments and software o Troubleshoot technical issues on Windows and Apple-based systems and printers independently during live events o Assist with instant photo keychain sales and assembly when required o Perform roaming event photography at designated events, capturing candid moments of guests in a natural and engaging way o Operate portrait station setups at select events, directing guests and managing basic composition and lighting on-site What We’re Looking For o Outgoing, engaging and confident in social settings. You are comfortable in a room full of people and know how to draw guests to the experience o Professionally presented at all times. Our clients include corporate brands and wedding clients at premium venues. Your appearance and conduct must reflect that standard. o Photography background or familiarity with cameras and lighting is an asset. o Reliable and punctual.
