🎬 Production Assistant Internship Opportunity – Montreal Company d escription AYORHA Productions is a Montreal-based independent film production company dedicated to creating documentary and narrative films that amplify underrepresented voices and explore socially relevant stories through a cinematic lens. Our latest project is a Telefilm Canada and Canada Council for the Arts supported feature documentary that follows the lives of asylum seekers navigating Montreal's housing crisis. Filmed in an observational cinéma vérité style, the film is currently in production and brings together an experienced team of award-winning filmmakers from across Canada. COMPENSATION & INTERNSHIP DETAILS We are looking for Production Assistant interns to join the crew of our feature documentary from July 6 – August 7 ASAP. This is an UNPAID internship on a low-budget independent feature documentary. Like many emerging Canadian independent productions, our budget is dedicated primarily to bringing the film to life. The core creative team has committed to working at significantly reduced rates because we believe in the importance of this story. ABOUT THE PRODUCTION TEAM Although unpaid, this is an opportunity to work alongside an accomplished professional team, including: Director : Ahana B. Murumbi – Telefilm Canada Talent to Watch recipient, writer-director of the award-nominated documentary A Girl Named Abigaël, and founder of AYORHA Productions. Director of Photography: Liam Higgins – Award-winning cinematographer and former photojournalist whose work has screened at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Producer: Dasha Kova – International producer with two Tribeca premieres and over a decade experience in film and commercial Production Advisor & Set Photographer: Denis McCready – Award-winning documentary producer, photographer, and mentor, former National Film Board of Canada producer and two-time Gémeaux Award winner Qualifications Currently enrolled in a CEGEP or university program in Film, Communications, Media, Television, or a related field. Valid driver's license. Comfortable driving a U-Haul cargo van, as you may be responsible for transporting production equipment between filming locations. Reliable, organized, and eager to learn. Passionate about filmmaking and/or documentary storytelling What we provide Lunch on all shoot days. Transportation between filming locations during the production day (travel to and from home is not provided). Hands-on experience and mentorship on a professional feature documentary production. Requirements

Candidates should be currently enrolled in a relevant program and possess a valid driver's license. They should be reliable, organized, eager to learn, and passionate about filmmaking.
