Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland. Position Heavy Equipment Operator, Nunavut Location and Reporting Structure Reporting to the Team Lead, Airstrip, this position will be a fly in- fly out 3x3 rotation based in Nunavut, Canada. Responsibilities • Operate various heavy equipment and ground support machinery safely in diverse weather conditions, including extreme environments.• Perform pre/post-operation checks, routine inspections, and ensure equipment is clean and well-maintained.• Safely load, unload, and transport cargo, baggage, and materials. Secure loads properly using straps or slings to prevent movement during transport.• Clear snow, slush, water, and other debris from runways, taxiways, and aprons. Support de-icing operations and maintain cleanliness around work areas.• Assist with aircraft marshaling and provide ground support services when needed.• Handle inbound and outbound shipments, moving materials to appropriate storage or delivery areas.• Participate in safety training, drills, and emergency response operations as required. Report incidents, violations, or situations affecting safety, security, or B2Gold Nunavut's reputation.• Assist in training new team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.• Perform general warehouse duties when not operating equipment. Follow B2Gold Nunavut's safety policies and health & safety standards. Desired Competencies and Requirements • Five (5) years' experience operating various equipment in a construction and a warehouse environment.• Highschool diploma or equivalent required.• Valid driver's license required (class 3 considered an asset).• Completion of Heavy Equipment Operator program considered an asset. Compensation and Benefits For informational purposes, the estimated annual earnings are $111,618.00 for 2184 scheduled hours (combined regular hourly rate of $40.50 and overtime rate of $60.75) in a work year.
