This position provides an opportunity to develop technical expertise, customer-facing experience, and operational knowledge while supporting North America Offshore operations. Partner with the best As a Field Engineer I, supporting North America Offshore Operations from Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, you will serve as a key interface between Baker Hughes field operations, offshore crews, and customers. You will gain broad exposure to offshore operations, customer environments, subject matter experts, and research and development resources while developing the technical and professional skills required for a successful career within Baker Hughes. This role is designed for individuals who possess strong technical aptitude, a willingness to work in offshore environments, and a passion for building customer relationships while solving complex operational challenges. As a Field Engineer I, you will be responsible for: Coordinating with crew members to deploy tools and services while serving as a liaison between customers and shore-based Operations Managers. Participating in solving complex technical problems through hands-on offshore and field-based work. Supporting offshore operations by ensuring equipment is installed, maintained, and operated safely and effectively. Preparing, documenting, receiving, and shipping equipment and products to and from offshore worksites. Supporting tender preparation, data analysis, cost estimation, and invoicing activities. Building and maintaining effective technical relationships with customers, customer engineers, and operational teams. Participating in training, job shadowing, and development opportunities to build a broad understanding of Baker Hughes operations. Promoting a strong safety culture while supporting offshore and customer-facing activities. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline such as Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geology, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, Geosciences, or a related technical field. Be a recent graduate or an early-career professional with approximately 3 to 5 years of experience. Demonstrate a willingness and ability to work offshore and support extended field assignments. Possess strong customer communication and technical relationship management skills. Demonstrate leadership potential, critical-thinking ability, and strong problem-solving skills. Work effectively within diverse teams while maintaining a customer-focused mindset. Demonstrate learning agility, coachability, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Previous oilfield internship experience is beneficial but not required. Position based in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland. Approximately 60% of time will be spent in Baker Hughes and customer office environments, with 40% supporting offshore operations. Offshore assignments may range from several days to multiple weeks depending on project and customer requirements. This position does not operate on a fixed offshore rotation and may involve work across customer sites, laboratories, and technology centers.
