JOB DESCRIPTION: We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced Class 1 Switch Driver for A.M. shifts at our Prince George, BC location. The schedule is Tuesday–Saturday, working 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Start Date: As Soon As Possible Why Drivers Choose Us: * Home every day: no long-haul * Competitive hourly pay + overtime opportunities * Full benefits (medical & dental) * Matching RRSP to support your future * Consistent, year-round work * Union position Job Summary: The successful applicant will be expected to perform the following: * Operate Class 1 vehicles for pickups and drop offs at our mining client sites * Safely transport goods to designated locations * Assist with loading/unloading of materials at the warehouse * Maintain accurate delivery logs and documents * Ensure all safety regulations and standards are followed * Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles / power units * Provide excellent customer service during deliveries Remuneration: * Competitive hourly pay rates * Full benefits (medical & dental) * Matching RRSP * Union Representation * Overtime opportunities Qualifications: In order to be qualified, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: * Valid Class 1 license * Minimum 1 year of local driving experience * Strong attention to detail * Knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations * Driver's abstract must show no driving-related criminal code convictions in the prior 36 months; no more than 2 moving violations in the prior 12 months; and no more than 3 moving violations in the prior 36 months. The date of conviction and the current date will be the date used to determine time periods * Previous warehouse experience a plus * Must be able to pass pre-employment drug testing * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs * Proficient in English (both reading and writing) * A positive, team-oriented attitude Remit your resume and ‘N’ type driver’s abstract to be considered.
