We are currently seeking qualified Pipefitters to join our on-site Construction team for one-month based at a remote camp location near Fort McKay, Alberta. This position offers the opportunity to participate in the construction of the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System. The schedule is planned as a 21-day-on rotation, consisting of 12-hour workdays. While preference will be given to local candidates, fly-in/fly-out options from Edmonton, Alberta, and Calgary, Alberta may be available based on eligibility. Hourly rate: Ranges from $32.15/hr. to $53.58/hr. Job Description Duties & Responsibilities: Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines Select type and size of pipe required Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system Install supports, valves, piping and control systems Hydrotest system for leaks using testing equipment Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system Other duties as required Qualifications Apprentice up to and including Journeyperson Red Seal level Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in pipefitting Experience in an industrial setting required Knowledge and experience with industrial construction and operations Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to clearly communicate with all levels of a project organization Required Tickets: Fall Protection Certification As part of the recruitment process, successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Driver’s Abstract. Requirements
