Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Preventative Maintenance Technician Level 2 at our Stoney Creek location. Our busy, team-oriented shops place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available, as well as maintaining a flow of information on that equipment for both the rental staff and the sales staff. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Wage: $20.00 - $22.00 Key Responsibilities * Complete cleaning, washing and routine maintenance of construction equipment; * Complete quality assurance inspections on equipment; * Testing and operation of construction equipment, including, but not limited to, assessment of damages; * Perform annual inspections on select rental equipment; * Perform preventative maintenance on construction equipment, including, but not limited to, maintaining and servicing rental equipment, making minor repairs and adjustments on equipment, oil and filter changes; * Assist and guide Level 1 Preventative Maintenance Technicians; * Complete required documentation and data entry; * Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area, shop and branch; * Load and unload customer rental equipment when required; * Maintain a safe working environment; * Assisting other technicians as needed; * Follow all Health and Safety policies, while maintaining as safe work environment; * Other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications * Previous experience in a related field, and knowledge of construction equipment and building products; * A self-starter, with a keen sense of time-management and effective planning skills; * Good communication and people skills. * Forklift operation experience; * Knowledge of construction equipment and mechanics; * Technical aptitude and organization skills are preferred.
