Position Details Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital Location: Tampa, FL Status: Full Time, hourly Shift Hours: Overnights Weekend Work: Every Other On Call: No Pharmacy Technician , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include: Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager. Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam. The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely preparation, compounding, and labeling of pharmaceuticals. They ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering medications under the oversight of a Pharmacist.

Candidates must be high school graduates with a Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry license. A CPhT certification and one year of institutional pharmacy experience are preferred.
