Position Details Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital Location: Tampa, FL Status: PRN - as needed, hourly Shift Hours: 2:30pm-11:00pm Weekend Work: Occasional On Call: No Pharmacy Technician , under the immediate oversight of the Pharmacist, responsibilities include: Support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department Efficient, accurate and timely preparation, compounding, labeling, and delivering of pharmaceuticals to assure customer satisfaction Required Registration: Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician Registry or enrolled into a BayCare hospital with a Florida Board of Pharmacy Licensed Training Program for the Employer Based Registered Pharmacy Technician Training Program Preferred experience is 1-year Institutional practice or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager. Required specific skills may also include successfully passing Pharmaceutical Calculations exam. Responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely preparation, compounding, and labeling of pharmaceuticals. The role involves delivering medications to ensure customer satisfaction under the oversight of a Pharmacist.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a Florida Department of Health Pharmacy Technician registration. A CPhT certification and one year of institutional experience are preferred.
