Job Location: Burnaby Employment type: Full Time Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) Annual Salary: $86,000 - $92,600 No. of positions: 1 Closing date: Sept. 6, 2026 What you’ll do * Facilitates the ongoing analysis of the Geomatics Services Division by planning photo control and writing photography specifications for new projects, designing flight plans for aerial photography acquisition, organizing and undertaking photo preparation and point transferring for aerial triangulation, providing mathematical adjustment of aerial triangulated photo control blocks including creating and editing computer files of survey and aerial triangulation, executing mathematical adjustment programs on computer facilities and analyzing computer outputs and storing and documenting final computed data. * Maintains liaison with and provides services to a variety of internal and external clients by providing photo interpretation and terrain analysis expertise, providing technical expertise in the use and interpretation of Interactive Digital Photography data and promoting applications of digital photography and photo interpretation within BC Hydro. * Provides technical advice to stakeholders on photogrammetric techniques and equipment. * Maintains communication with various contractors and government agencies to research information and/or monitor contract performance. * Modifies and compiles basic computer programs. * May be required to perform all the duties of the Photogrammetrist 1 job. * Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties which do not affect the rating of the job. What you bring * Diploma in Geomatics, Geomatics Engineering Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or in a related field of study; AND * Four (4) years experience in photogrammetry, digital map compilation, or aerial survey.
