The following temporary position is open for applications:EDUCATION ASSISTANT EDUCATION ASSISTANT - SUPERVISION Location: District – South Don Ross Middle School Temporary: Immediately to December 18, 2026, or return of Incumbent, whichever occurs firstHours: 5.0 hours per day, for all days school is in session for students (Education Assistant) 1.0 hour per day, for all days school is in session for students (Supervision)Rate of Pay: $33.69/hour (Education Assistant) $31.49/hour (Supervision)Duties & Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Principal(s) and the general supervision of the Classroom Teacher(s), provides assistance to students who have physical disabilities, chronic health diagnoses, intellectual disabilities and/or social, emotional and behavioural needs as designated by the Director of Instruction, while supporting the achievement of stated programs goals and objectives. Supervision of a designated area either inside or outside the school, before, during and/or after school as defined by the terms of the assignment. This position will require the successful applicant to deliver a higher level of care.Qualifications:Completion of Grade 12 plus a special program and over six (6) months up to and including one (1) year's related experience. A special program would be the Capilano University Education Assistant Program. Valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's License. Knowledge of basic First Aid.
