Your Opportunity The Manager, Architecture & Design leads the enterprise and solution architecture function, aligning technology decisions with business strategy. This role is for an existing vacancy and sets architecture direction and governance, oversees solution design, develops the architecture team, and partners with business leaders and Data, AI, and Cyber Security architects. Job responsibilities: Lead the architecture function (enterprise and solution architecture), including its team, priorities, standards, methods, and governance. Develop architecture principles, reference architectures, roadmaps, and standards that align business priorities with technology investments. Lead and oversee solution design and architecture reviews to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, integrated, and supportable. Guide architecture decisions across applications, data, integration, infrastructure, cloud, security, and emerging technology domains to ensure solutions align with business objectives, enterprise standards, and strategic roadmaps. Partner with business, delivery, operations, vendors, and Data, AI, and Cyber Security architects to deliver cohesive designs and resolve trade-offs. Identify modernization, reuse, rationalization, and technical debt reduction opportunities across the technology landscape. Coach and develop architects, manage demand and capacity, and communicate architecture decisions clearly to senior leaders and delivery teams. Qualifications & Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience. At least 8 years of progressive enterprise technology experience, including enterprise and solution architecture in a large, complex organization. Experience leading architects or senior technical professionals and building an effective architecture practice. Broad knowledge of technology domains including cloud platforms, application, integration and messaging architectures, identity and access management, infrastructure and networking, security architecture, data management and integration, AI and emerging technologies, and modern software delivery practices. Experience developing architecture and solution designs leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, enterprise integration and messaging platforms, event-driven architectures, API management solutions, and related cloud and data services. Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder influence. Relevant architecture and technology certifications, such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, ITIL, or equivalent industry-recognized certifications, are considered an asset.
