Working in close partnership with the Creative Director, the Design Director translates creative intent into player experiences and systems that are clear, deep, and engaging. The Design Director sets the standard for design quality, structure, and communication, while also being deeply involved in feature prioritization, pacing, and mechanical cohesion. They play a key role in ensuring that the game delivers a complete and satisfying experience that meets the expectations of both players and external partners. In this role you will : Define and drive the vision in alignment with the Creative Director’s vision of the project. Direct the design teams across different specialties, including missions, narrative, level design, and UX implementation. Mediate between feature and content review requests from other disciplines and what the overall mission design can realistically support. Evaluate design work at all stages of development to ensure clarity, balance, depth, and player comprehension. Primary interface point for clients (Co-Dev/Publishers/Product Group) when talking about specific missions and related content. What we're looking for : Proven experience as a Design Director, Game Director or Associate Design Director on a successful PC/Console game. Excellent collaboration skills and experience working closely with Narrative, Level Design, Art and Audio. Experience in mission design is an asset, with a track record of delivering engaging narrative and gameplay-driven content. Leadership and mentorship skills, with experience managing and developing teams of designers. Passion for creating innovative player experiences and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
