Are you ready to revolutionize the gaming industry with your expertise in texture art? We're currently seeking a Senior Texture Artist to join our team. As a Senior Texture Artist, you will play a key role in bringing the iconic and terrifying world of Dead by Daylight to life. You will create high-quality textures and materials for environments while maintaining the project's artistic vision and technical standards. You will take ownership of complex textures and help elevate the visual quality and consistency of the game. This role is ideal for an experienced artist with a strong artistic eye, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for creating memorable horror experiences. In this role you will : Partner closely with Environment Artists to understand the needs of each environment and provide guidance on the most effective textures, materials, and techniques to bring them to life. Translate the artistic vision into high-quality environment textures, balancing realism, visual storytelling, and technical requirements across architectural spaces and assets. Calibrate, refine, and polish textures and materials, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into the world and meet the project's visual and technical standards. Contribute to improving texture workflows and best practices, sharing knowledge, techniques, and solutions that help artists create high-quality environments more efficiently. Shape and organize the environment texture pipeline in collaboration with the Technical Art Director, Art Lead, and Lighting Artist, ensuring efficient workflows and consistent visual quality. What we're looking for : 6+ years of experience as a Texture Artist, with experience delivering high-quality environment assets for shipped video game titles. Experience with Unreal, Substance Designer and understanding of PBR and the impact on the lighting process. Strong understanding of architectural materials, surface definition, composition, color, value, and scale, with an exceptional eye for detail and visual consistency. Good understanding of game art production pipelines, optimization, memory budget, mipmaps, texture packing, tillable texture creation, texel density, resolution, and asset integration into Unreal Engine. Able to create trimsheet material using some basic 3d skills for baking. A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality, realistic environment, architectural, and material work. A plus: Able to create and modify materials in unreal (Shader graph, Material Function, Layering, etc.) Knowledge of Photoshop and Substance painter.
