Name and description of the hiring departmentThe HR Services group provides quality support to all Bell Canada employees and its subsidiaries. These services include payroll administration, HR-related transactions, management of unionized staff transfers, and administration of the employee discount program. The Payroll Assistant ? Support Centre is responsible for delivering an excellent service to employees by responding to various payroll-related inquiries and redirecting the employees when necessary. They also ensure that the advice and recommendations provided contribute positively to payroll processing efficiency.Job Duties / AccountabilitiesReceive, analyze, and resolve requests related to employee and manager payroll from various sources (email, online, or incoming calls)Analyze various reports, justify discrepancies, and make the necessary correctionsExplain the different components of employee pay and tax slips while respecting legislation, government requirements, and collective agreementsRespond with integrity and accuracy to questions regarding compensation paid to employeesUnderstand and perform compensation calculations (gross salary to net salary, vacation pay, etc.)Accurately complete declarations intended for government agencies, various documents, and required follow-upsCollaborate with the teams concerned to effectively resolve unusual situations, complex cases, or matters requiring in-depth analysisNegotiate repayment agreements in cases of overpayments and take the necessary measures to prevent additional lossesRedirect requests to the appropriate services or departments as neededMaintain the satisfaction and trust of Bell employees and its subsidiaries by providing an exemplary employee experienceEssential Qualifications / CompetenciesIn-depth knowledge of payroll principles and legislation, including regulatory compliance and the main elements of compensation (pay stubs, tax slips, etc.)Experience working in an Employee Services environmentKnowledge of English and French required, in the course of their duties, this person will be required to interact with French & English speaking stakeholders across CanadaStrong organizational, planning, priority management, and time management skillsDemonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismRecognized ability to work independently and as part of a team as neededExcellent interpersonal and collaborative skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesHigh attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information for clientsAbility to
