The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and supporting key business decisions through financial analysis. In This Role, You Will Manage full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial and residential properties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close; Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including variance analysis and reporting insights; Oversee tenant accounting, including rent rolls, recoveries, and CAM and realty tax reconciliations; Interpret lease agreements to ensure accurate billing, escalations, and recoverable expenses; Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate cost allocation across entities; Partner with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities; Liaise with external auditors and support year-end audit requirements; Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of accounting systems, processes, and controls. ‍ Requested Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; 5+ years of property accounting experience; Strong knowledge of commercial leases, CAM reconciliations, and tenant recoveries; Experience preparing financial statements and variance analyses; Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems. ‍ At Bertone, diversity and inclusion are at the core of our values, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants in accordance with applicable federal, provincial, and territorial legislation. ‍
