Job summary

You will frame and finish custom landscape features such as decks, fences, and pergolas while reading blueprints and solving construction challenges on-site. Additionally, you will perform basic formwork for concrete elements and maintain a safe, organized, and tidy job site.

What you'll do Frame and finish decks, fences, pergolas, arbours and custom landscape features Work in composite and wood — prefab and fully custom Read plans and blueprints, then build to them Solve it on site — plans don't always exist; we want your judgment, not a phone call Run basic formwork for concrete and hardscape elements Keep tools sharp and the site clean — safe, organized, tidy What you bring Must-haves Proven carpentry experience — framing and finish Strong with measuring, cutting, shaping and assembly Comfortable with hand and power tools, and you maintain them Solid attention to detail — you notice a crooked picket before the customer does Fit enough for full days outdoors in BC weather Safety-minded, reliable, and a good teammate Nice-to-haves Landscape construction background Valid BC driver's licence + confident towing 10–14 ft trailers Knowledge of wood species and how they hold up outdoors Proficiency in other trades — concrete, masonry, hardscape (we'll train the right person) Red Seal or trade certification What we offer Year-round, full-time work — not seasonal Real work-life balance — rarely weekends, evenings or holidays Health benefits for eligible staff 4% vacation pay Performance-based raises Clear path to Lead Carpenter or Foreman — company truck comes with it Paid training, tickets and education opportunities Flexible hours and time off What it's actually like here Thursday team BBQs — food and drinks on us Camping, bowling, golf, paintball, go-karting You'll get real creative latitude — we hire carpenters to make calls, not wait for them People come here and stay. Requirements

Candidates must have proven carpentry experience in framing and finishing with strong proficiency in using hand and power tools. You should be detail-oriented, physically fit for outdoor work, and possess a valid driver's license with the ability to tow trailers.
