Job summary

SUMMARY The Furniture Service Technician is responsible for furniture management. This includes moves, assembling and dissembling furniture as well as building, tearing down and reconfiguring workstations. This can be done for event and meeting room setups as well office setups. Furniture management also includes assessments, inventory and whiteboard installation. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Furniture Management * Works with relevant stakeholders to ensure furniture-related projects are completed on a timely basis. * Responds quickly to client requests. * Assembles, disassembles. Moves, installs and sets up furniture, including replacement of locks. * Builds, dismantles and re-configs workstations. * Hangs pictures, whiteboard and other items on the wall. * Performs inspections on furnishings. * Troubleshoots and completes repairs as required. * Responsible for meeting and event setups as required by the Client. * Responsible for the reset, cut and audit of locks and lockers. * Keeps inventory of locks. * Review of furniture for disposal and waste diversion. * Perform other duties, as assigned. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Software proficiencies related to the assignment – Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, etc. * Basic comprehension assembly techniques for systems furniture. * Organizational and time management skills. * Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills. * Ability to follow work plans and to execute move-related projects. * Ability to lift, move, set up, and install furniture and office equipment. Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation * None required. This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $44,303 - $52,121 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to experience, education and performance related to this role. #LI-JP1
